Below you can find the entry options for our competition with information on them.  We love sharing our passion and knowledge but we can not wait for you to share with us your passion on stage!

Solo

For dancers entering a solo. Time limit is 2:45.

Duo & Trio

Any routine with 2 to 3 dancers. Time limit is 2:45.

Group

Any routine with 4+ dancers. Time limit is 3:00.

Driven Dancer

Compete 3 solos in 3 Categories.

Driven2Dance will be held at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium this season.  Take a look below at the pricing for each entry type.  We have a great group of judges that can not wait to have you share your passion with us.  The following Sunday, we will be holding workshop classes for anyone who wants to take advantage of our wonderful staff being in Alaska.  Discounts will be given to those that participated in the competition.

Digital Media

Photography and Video recording from any media devices (i.e. digital cameras, cell phones, SLR’s, Flip, etc.) is strictly prohibited during classes and competition. This is to enforce the children’s safety and privacy, as well as protecting the work of choreographers and faculty.

Mini

5 - 8
Average age from 5 & 8 years old

Junior

9 - 12
Average age from 9 & 12 years old

Teen

13 - 15
Average age from 13 & 15 years old

Senior

16 - 19
Average age from 16 & 19 years old

Open

20+
Any dancer is 20 or older.

Our Age Divisions are below. All ages are determined as of January 1st, 2023.  To reach the average age of an entry add all the ages together and divide by the number of dancers in that entry.  When it ends in a decimal, round drop the decimal.  Meaning if the average age is 13.6, the average age would be 13.

The average age of each entry must not drop more than one age division below the age of the oldest dancer in the entry, regardless of the actual average age. Example: an entry contains dancers ranging in age from 9-17, the entry may not compete younger than the 13-15 age category (one division younger than the oldest dancer – 17).

Any entry with a dancer 20 years or older must compete in the open division.  Teachers are not to dance with students.

Names and ages of all dancers must be added in registration or it will not be accepted.  All competing dancers must be prepared to present a birth certificate should there be questions on their age.

Health & Safety
Enjoy A Safe Event

Dance Driven will be following all health and safety protocol at each event location. The Wendy Williamson Auditorium will take all precautions to maintain a healthy and safe environment for all contestants.

If a participant of Driven2Dance is in need of first aid, please see a Dance Driven Staff member at the registration/merchandise booth.

All dancers register to compete must complete and sign a Dance Driven Waiver to participate.
