We are excited for to bring back our Alaska dance convention. Join us at the Dena’ina Center the weekend of 01.10.2025 when we bring up a group of international professionals to work with the dancers of Alaska for a weekend long experience. Our instructors have professional experience in both performing and teaching, along with a passion for passing on their knowledge and experience. Our dance convention focus on learning, connecting the community, and creating experiences for everyone. We look forward to sharing our passion with you!

Types & Info
Which are you?
Below you can find the types of attendees we have to our conventions. We love sharing our knowledge and passion with as many dancers as we can so students, directors, teachers, independent dancers, college dancers…..all are welcome.
Student
This is dancers age 9 and up attending with a studio or as an independent for the full 15 class weekend. They can join any class except for classes for teachers, observers, and minis. We recommend they try as many classes as they can. We have classes in several styles for beginner, intermediate, and advanced dancers.
Teacher
This is for dancers 18 or older that want to take the any classes including the teacher instruction classes. They can join any class including classes specifically for teachers. Each studio that signs up can get a free entry for a director and for every 10 dancers they can also get a free teacher to join.
Mini Students
This is any beginner dancer age 6-8 that are attending with a studio or as an independent. They have the option to take 3 class on Saturday, or 3 on Sunday, or 3 on both days. This is a new option we are testing out this year.
Observers
For those wanting to watch class but not participate. This is only for dancer's relatives or studio employees for the safety of the students. If a dancer is injured they can also attend as an observer. At the door payment only.

Showcase which is open to parents and family
Adjudications are an opportunity to get feedback and individualized instruction from our instructors for a dance of your choice. The student(s) or group will perform their routine for at least two of our instructors. Our instructors record audio critiques which will be given to the teacher or studio director on Sunday. After which our instructors will work with the student(s) or group on what they can do to improve their routine for performances and competitions. This instruction will also be recorded and shared with the teacher or studio director for the routine. We will run two rooms at the same time.
Signing up for Adjudications will happen on the weekend of the event in a first come first serve situation. There are limited spots so be sure to talk to the registration desk if you have interest in signing routines up.
Pricing:
– Solo: $50
– Duo/Trio: $35 per dancer
– Group: $20 per dancer
- No Refunds – If an event is cancelled, refunds will come in the form of credit to an upcoming event or our shop. If attendee cancels then no refunds.
- Workshop fees include a minimum of 15 class hours over the weekend.
- Dance Studios may apply their own additional administrative fees. This is very common practice and is used to cover the time and expense incurred by studio owners while organizing and attending the event.
- No checks will be accepted
- Payment must be processed in full in order for your spot to be reserved.
- Dance Driven cannot guarantee registration the morning of the event, due to sell out.
Photography and Video recording from any media devices (i.e. digital cameras, cell phones, SLR’s, Flip, etc.) is strictly prohibited during classes and competition. This is to enforce the children’s safety and privacy, as well as protecting the work of choreographers and faculty.
At our convention we offer 3 full scholarships for stand out students throughout the weekend. To be consider you must participate at least Saturday and Sunday. These are dancers who showcase the values we hold highest. Working hard, taking constructive corrections, expanding their knowledge by trying new things and joining as many classes and styles as possible.

We run our Fall Sale in conjunction with PFD’s. This sale will run from 10.05.2023 – 10.15.2023.
We have our Early Bird Pricing after that until 11.30.2023.
For every studio that signs up, one director/teacher registration is free. For every 10 dancers a studio registers, they will get another free director/teacher registration. This does not need to be added to the checkout, it will happen automatically.
- Studio Registration Packets must be picked up by a Studio’s Director or Teacher. No Parent or Dancer will be allowed to do so.
- Dance Driven LLC, staff, instructors, and/or representatives are not liable for personal injuries or loss/damage to personal property.
- Wristbands must be worn at all times during the event. Anyone without a wristband will be denied access to the event. Lost or damaged wristbands will require an additional fee up to the full registration price. Wristbands may not be given or shared to another dancer
- All ages are determined as of January 1, 2024
- Viedotaping is not allowed when classes are in session.
- By registering for Dance Driven, you grant Dance Driven the right to use your image
- Dance Driven reserves the right to refuse admittance, or have anyone removed from the event who is disruptive or acts in a manner that is unacceptable.
